TENDER NOTICE

Notice inviting offers for professional consultancy services towards installation of glass panel 8 - passengr lift (capsule lift) in Uco Bank’s residential building

Sealed two-part offers are invited by UCO Bank, Head Office, General Administration Department from bonafide & reputed Architectural/Consultancy Firms having adequate infrastructure and establishment/office in Kolkata, for rendering professional consultancy services including periodical supervision of work towards installation of one number 8-Passenger, rear glass panel lift in UCO Bank’s Residential (Ground + 6-storeyed) building at 1/1, Alipore Avenue, Kolkata – 700 027. The preliminary estimated cost of the work is Rs.36,00,000/- (Rs.24,75,000/- for Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of the lift and Rs.11,25,000/- for construction of new hoistway, machine room and allied builders, Electrical & cabling work).

Eligibility of Architects/Consultants:

The Architects/Consultants should be either a) Graduate / Post Graduate in Architecture from India or abroad and /or have done considerable extent of work as Architect/Consultant for a period of more than three years. b) Members of Indian Institute of Architects/ Institution of Engineers or any other professional institute. c) Members of the Council of Architecture or any other professional institute.
The Architectural/Consultancy Firms should have empanelment in Banks/ Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings and rendered professional services for successful execution of at least three projects of installation of passenger lifts in high rise buildings in such organisations. The Firm should have also executed at least one work of comparable magnitude /value, preferably for rear glass panel lifts or capsule lifts, in past three years.
The Firms should have adequate experience in design and construction of hoistway, machine room, allied builders work etc. for installation of passenger lifts on the exterior side of high rise buildings.
The Firm should be well conversant with West Bengal Lift Rules and I.S. specifications for installation of lifts with safety features.
The Firm should have the adequate infrastructure and requisite technical personnel in different trades like Civil/Structural, Electrical etc. for rendering professional services towards installation of passenger lifts in high rise buildings.
The Firm should be registered with the Service Tax Authority.
No TA/DA is permissible for visiting the site of work or the office of UCO Bank in Kolkata.

Procedure for submission and opening of Tenders:

1. Part-I of the offer should be submitted in a separate sealed cover, super scribing "PART-I (Technical & Commercial Part) for rendering consultancy services towards installation of Passenger lift with rear glass panel in UCO Bank's Residential building at 1/1, Alipore Avenue, Kolkata -700 027". Part-I of offer should contain the following:

The structure and Profile of the Firm with address, year of establishment, status of the Firm, Name of Directors/Partners/Proprietor, the registration no. with date if the Firm is registered with the Registrar of Companies /Registrar of Firms.
Photocopy of membership certificate issued by Council of Architecture/ Indian Institute of Architects or any other professional bodies.
List of offices/establishments in various centers of the country.
List of work in last 5-years with nature of work, magnitude/value of work, name of clients etc for which professional services have been rendered.
Photocopies of performance certificates issued by clients for services rendered during last 5-years.
Photocopy of Service Tax Registration. Certificate.
Photocopy of latest Income Tax clearance certificate.

There should not be any indication of fees/charges in Part-I of the offer.

2. Part-II of the offer should be submitted in another sealed cover, super scribing "PART-II (Price Part) for rendering consultancy services towards installation of Passenger lift with rear glass panel in UCO Bank's Residential building at 1/1, Alipore Avenue, Kolkata -700 027". Part-II of offer should contain only the rate of Fees for professional services along with Taxes/charges applicable. Rate of Fees for rendering professional services should be offered separately for :

Installation, testing & Commissioning of lift including tendering process, periodical supervision of work, issuance of completion certificate and certification of contractor's bill.
Design and construction of new hoistway, machine room and allied builders, Electrical & cabling work including tendering process, periodical supervision of work, issuance of completion certificate and certification of contractor's bill.

3. Both Part-I and Part-II of offer should be enclosed in another sealed cover, super scribing "Offer for rendering consultancy services towards installation of Passenger lift with rear glass panel in UCO Bank's Residential building at 1/1, Alipore Avenue, Kolkata -700 027" and submitted to UCO Bank, Head Office, General Administration Deptt., Martin Burn Building (3rd Floor), 1, R.N. Mukherjee road, Kolkata - 700 001 by 2:30 P.M. on 22.10.2008.

4. Part-I of offers will be opened at 3:00 P.M. on 22.10.2008 in presence of authorized representatives of participating Architectural/Consultancy Firms who wish to remain present in the offer opening process. Part-II of all offers found eligible after scrutiny of Part-I, will be opened on the same day or on a later date to be notified to all eligible Firms, in presence of their authorized representatives.

5. Offers submitted after the stipulated date & time will be marked as "Late Offer" and shall not be considered.

6. The Bank reserves the right to reject any or all offers without assigning any reason whatsoever.
