The Digital Rupee (e₹) is India’s official Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) – a digital form of legal tender issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It holds the same value as physical currency, fully backed by RBI, and offers a fast, secure, and cashless payment experience.
UCO Bank is part of RBI’s CBDC initiative, offering the UCO Digital Rupee App – your personal, secure wallet for transacting in e₹.

Eligibility Criteria:-
- Individual having SB account in UCO Bank
- Mode of Operation should be Self/Either or Survivor
Documents Required:-
Nil. Applicant must be existing customer of UCO Bank. Self onboarding from Google Play Store.
Onboarding Prerequisites:-
- Mobile number must be linked to only one customer ID in the Core Banking System (CBS)/Finacle.
- Ensure SMS permissions and balance for selected SIM.
- Ensure valid account selection and active debit card linked to same customer-id.

Verify your mobile number linked to your UCO Bank account, accept terms, set your PIN, and activate your wallet using debit card details
- Start Transacting
Load funds, make payments, collect money, redeem balances — all within the app.

- Load Funds – Transfer money from your UCO Bank account or via UPI* to your wallet.
*Load via UPI feature to be live shortly. - Transfer & Pay – Send e₹ via mobile number or QR code; pay merchants instantly.
- Collect – Generate a QR to receive payments.
- Redeem – Convert your e₹ back to INR in your linked bank account.
- Account Management – View wallet, profile, transaction history, deregister wallet and other features.
